To celebrate a departed loved one’s life through funeral services is one move that allows you to face your own sorrow. Grieving is our personal means of responding to loss. Grief is the pain you experience when you lose something that or someone who is an important part of your life.

All these examples can make us experience grief. Of all the examples mentioned above, we experience the most intense anguish if a loved one – be this a child, a parent, or a spouse – dies. Nothing on this earth can take away the void that is created by their death.
We may have shared a large portion of our lives with the people who have died. And life would never be as it was when they are gone. We grieve for our loss. Yet, in grieving, we have the hope of being able to heal our anguish and strengthen our lives to move forward once more.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve. When we grieve, we have to select the non-destructive ways of expressing the pain that we experience.
Grieving is often characterized by continual weeping each time the memory of a beloved crosses our mind. Crying is not the only indicator that we are mourning the death of a loved one. A person could be stoic yet within the waves of strong emotions are roiling.
Also, in opposition to the myth, grieving does not only cover a single year. Grieving’s duration differs from individual to individual. No one can rush and quickly “get over” the grieving process. Time heals all pains and anguish.
